Not too long ago, the total number of Prelinger films archived on this site was just over 2,000. Over the past, I'd say, couple of months, that total has been gradually shrinking. Today, the total listed is 1,966.

What's going on? Have you run into copyright trouble and had to delete some films because they were not PD after all? Did you need to free up some server space?

Do you plan on adding any more movies to the Prelinger archive? Not that I'm complaining, I haven't even seen 100 of your current stock of films yet! I've got a long way to go before I've seen everything. :o)

I believe that the previous number of around 2000 wasn't correct - there were duplicate files and missing files that were being counted.

This recent figure is a little bit more accurate - although one might still run across duplicates and missing files.

Skip, I couldn't find "School House in the Red" maybe "Schoolhouse in the Red". A more recently added film. Thought I'd mention without starting a new post. Thanks.
